My New Year’s Party was so boring at one point I went into the living room to make phony phone calls to my sister. I pretended to be a telemarketer doing a survey for Crest toothpaste. This is the same survey I did routinely as a child so she immediately recognized my voice.
“I’m sorry, I can’t do a survey at this time” she said, “I’m in the middle of my party.”
“Really? Who did you invite,” I asked.
“My husband and cousin Randi, but Randi cancelled. How’s your party going?”
“Good, good. Dan’s making chicken and rice for the dog and I’m reading an article about Hillary Clinton.”
I’d like to lead you to believe that my party picked up after Dan rolled the chicken and rice into little balls, but it went along pretty much like that until we both looked up at it was 2008.
We’re thinking of adding soda to our party next year, if you’d like to join us.
why don’t you just join your sister and her husband, maybe cousin randi will even show up? sounds to me like they had more fun, no chicken and rice balls at their party though!
